Sergei
Prokofiev's "Peter and the Wolf" is the most exciting
way to introduce |
children
to classical music and puppetry. This world-famous musical tale
has |
been
performed often, but very rarely using the unique Czech black
theatre |
technique. The complex but stunning style of this presentation allows complete |
freedom
of movement for the full-scale puppets who interact on stage |
with a
real-life narrator to create a feel of a big screen animated cartoon. |
The
seasonal finale with Tchaikovsky's favorite melodies from
"Nutcracker" will |
please
everyone. Marching penguins, dancing Russian bears, Snowmen, |
Pulchinellas,
and many more create a whirlwind of colors to bring laughter and |
joy of the season to
children's faces. |
